About Bistro Yaku
For those who haven't been: Bistro Yaku is a staple in the San Blas neighborhood. Great food, solid cocktails, and one of the few venues in Cuenca that consistently books quality live music. The space is intimate enough that you feel like you're at a private show, but lively enough for a proper Saturday night out.
Pro tip: Get there early if you want a table. The place fills up fast on live music nights, and standing room goes quick too. Dinner before the show is a solid move — the menu holds its own even without the music.
Getting There
San Blas is walkable from most of El Centro. From Parque Calderón, it's about a 10-minute walk east on Sucre or Bolívar. If you're coming from farther out, a taxi should run you $2-3.
Six dollars for a night of live music, good food, and a great vibe in one of Cuenca's best neighborhoods. Hard to beat that.
