Free Cleft Lip And Palate Surgery Campaign Coming To Vicente Corral

A free medical campaign is coming to Cuenca’s Hospital Regional Vicente Corral Moscoso.
Operación Sonrisa Ecuador and the Health Ministry will hold free cleft lip and palate surgeries from July 22 to 25 at the hospital.
Who It Is For
The campaign is expected to benefit around 50 children, young people, and adults with cleft lip or palate.
For minors, patients can access care from six months of age onward.
How The Process Works
Preoperative evaluations are scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, from 07:30 to 15:30.
After those evaluations, the medical team will select candidates for surgeries scheduled from Thursday, July 23, through Saturday, July 25.
Interested families need a postcard-size photo of the patient’s face, the original and copy of the patient’s cedula, the original and copy of the legal representative’s cedula, and basic pre-surgical exams.
The evaluations will be done in tents outside Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso.
Why This Is Worth Sharing
This is exactly the kind of local item that can disappear quickly in the news cycle but matter enormously to one family. If you know someone who may qualify, the key date is the July 22 evaluation window.
