CIDAP Opens A July And August Artisan Sale In Cuenca

CIDAP has opened a new exhibition-sale called “Saber hacer / Saber haciendo,” built around the processes, trades, and stories behind Ecuadorian artisan pieces.
The useful part: the pieces are not only on display. Visitors can buy the creations directly.
When To Go
The exhibition-sale will stay open to the public at the Museo de las Artes Populares del CIDAP during July and August.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 08h00 to 17h00, and Saturday from 08h00 to 16h30.
Why It Is Worth A Look
The show brings together artisans, collectives, and ventures from different provinces of Ecuador.
For expats, this is the kind of Cuenca outing that works whether you are furnishing an apartment, looking for gifts, or just trying to understand the craft traditions that show up in markets and galleries around town.
Because it is an exhibition-sale, you can treat it as a museum stop or as a shopping stop. That flexibility is the nice part.
