Free Horror Film Series Kicks Off in Cuenca at Casa Patrimonial Municipal del Artista

Cuenca residents looking for free entertainment have a new option this fall. The Fans del Miedo film club is presenting its fourth horror film series, offering three complimentary screenings at the Casa Patrimonial Municipal del Artista. This municipal venue is conveniently located on Avenida Loja and Cantón Gualaceo, making it accessible for many in the city.

The series, titled Cycle IV: B-Movie, will showcase a selection of international horror productions. The program includes films from Spain, Portugal, Italy, and New Zealand, providing a diverse cinematic experience for enthusiasts of the genre.

The first screening is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, at 7:00 PM. It will feature "La noche del terror ciego," a 1971 co-production from Spain and Portugal, directed by Amando de Ossorio.

Following this, the series continues on Friday, October 2, also at 7:00 PM, with the Italian film "Demons." This 1985 production was directed by Lamberto Bava.

The final film in the series will be shown on Friday, October 16, at 7:00 PM. It will be "Braindead," a 1992 New Zealand film directed by the acclaimed Peter Jackson.
