SOLCA Cuenca Will Offer $10 Prostate Cancer Screening

SOLCA Cuenca is opening a low-cost prostate-cancer prevention campaign this month.
The campaign is for men 40 and older and is scheduled for June 15 to 19, 2026.
For $10, participants receive a blood sample and access to a medical appointment.
Where And When To Register
Registration is at the statistics window at SOLCA Cuenca, located on Agustin Landivar and Avenida Paraiso, near the regional hospital.
The registration window is open from 08:00 to 15:30 during the campaign dates.
You need your cedula de identidad. There is no beneficiary limit listed for the campaign.
Why It Is Worth Not Ignoring
Men's health screenings are easy to postpone, especially when you are dealing with life abroad, Spanish-language systems, and a medical setup you may not fully understand yet.
This one is unusually straightforward: fixed dates, fixed price, one listed requirement, and a known local cancer center.
In 2025, around 900 men used the preventive campaign. If you are in the age group, this is the sort of errand that belongs on the calendar before the week disappears.
