Tranvía Is Repairing the Ordóñez Lasso Stop After a Trailer Incident

If you use the Ordóñez Lasso tram stop, be a little more careful getting in and out for now.
Tranvía Cuenca says technical staff are evaluating and repairing damage at the stop after a trailer entered the exclusive tram platform and damaged part of the boarding area.
What Happened
The incident happened at about 22:26 the previous night, when the heavy vehicle improperly entered the tram-only area and affected stones and other elements of the platform.
Tranvía crews activated their response protocols and are coordinating repair work.
What Crews Are Doing
Current work includes:
-
Technical evaluation of the affected area
-
Repair coordination for damaged platform elements
-
Operational monitoring of tram service
The important rider detail: the system continues operating normally. The caution is specific to entering and exiting at the Ordóñez Lasso stop while maintenance is underway.
Why It Matters
This is not a citywide tram shutdown, but it is the kind of small infrastructure issue that can trip up a normal commute if you are not expecting it. Watch your footing, follow any staff instructions at the platform, and give other riders a little space while the stop is being repaired.
