ANT System Trouble Hit Licenses and Matriculation - Missed Monday Appointments Get Priority

If you had Ecuador driving paperwork on your Monday list, this is the one to double-check before leaving the house.
El Mercurio reports that technical problems at the Agencia Nacional de Transito (ANT) affected license, vehicle certificate, appointment, and matriculation services on Monday, May 18, 2026. The same report says the main database had been restored, but several services were still running with interruptions.
What To Do If Your Appointment Was Monday
The useful part: people whose license appointments were left pending on Monday can go to any agency from Tuesday, May 19, through Friday, May 22, at any time, according to the ANT notice quoted by El Mercurio.
Bring the proof of the appointment that was left pending. El Mercurio reports that affected users do not need to generate a new appointment.
Before You Make The Trip
If your errand involves a license, certificate, web application, appointment, or vehicle matriculation, check the service status before you go. El Mercurio reports that municipal vehicle-registration processes connected to the central transit system were among the affected services.
