Today's Sierra Forecast Is Sunny - and the UV Level Is the Thing to Watch

Ecuavisa reports that, for May 19, 2026, INAMHI forecasts partly cloudy skies in the south of the Coast and in most Sierra provinces. For the Sierra region, the forecast calls for clear skies and extremely high solar radiation.
The Practical Window
Ecuavisa reports that the UV level is 12 in Carchi, Pichincha, Cotopaxi, Tungurahua, Bolivar, Chimborazo and Loja. The same report says INAMHI recommends using an umbrella when leaving home or the office, keeping rooms cool and ventilated, and avoiding prolonged sun exposure between 10:00 and 15:00.

For the Sierra, Ecuavisa reports a low of 9 C and a high of 25 C. The Coast is forecast at 23 C to 33 C, the Amazon at 18 C to 31 C, and the Galapagos at 25 C to 32 C.
