Casa De La Cultura Has Free Events Across Cuenca This Week

If you want something to do in El Centro this week without turning it into a production, Casa de la Cultura has a full calendar.
The Azuay branch has an agenda from July 13 to 18, with music, dance, visual arts, crafts, and literature in different Historic Center spaces. Most events are free.
Free And Easy Picks
On Wednesday, July 15, at 6:30 p.m., the Biblioteca Manuel Muñoz Cueva at Luis Cordero 7-22 and Presidente Córdova hosts the launch of Aprender a Nadar.
On Friday, July 17, at 8:00 p.m., the Teatro Casa de la Cultura hosts Salsa Sinfónica, directed by Andrea Vela with Salsa Group as guest.
Also on Friday, July 17, at 7:00 p.m., the Sala Alfonso Carrasco at Luis Cordero 7-22 and Presidente Córdova hosts the closing presentation for the Saray dance company's Sinincay vacation workshop.
On Saturday, July 18, the Auditorio Catalina Sojos at Presidente Córdova 7-89 and Luis Cordero presents Harmony 2026 in two functions, at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Exhibits And One Paid Event
The exhibit La figura compleja del Rey remains open in Sala Proceso until July 17. Convergencias remains available until July 29 at the Salón del Pueblo Efraín Jara Idrovo, at Mariscal Sucre and Benigno Malo.
The one paid item is Ashes Fest II - A Last Whisper for Redemption, at Teatro Casa de la Cultura on Saturday, July 18, at 4:00 p.m. Admission is $3.
