ETAPA Water Cuts Today — San Joaquín and Narancay Neighborhoods Affected

What's Happening
ETAPA EP announced water service cuts this Thursday afternoon (March 12) affecting large swaths of San Joaquín and Narancay. If you live in either area, you'll want to fill tanks, buckets, and bottles before midday.
As usual, ETAPA didn't publish specific hours or an estimated duration. We'll update this article if they do.
Affected Neighborhoods
Two water reservoirs are being taken offline for maintenance, which means two separate zones are affected.

Sector 2: Architects College, Continental Hardware store, Narancay Park, Equitation Unit, Athens of Ecuador Residential area
Sector 3: Carlos Elizalde Health Center, Simón Bolívar Residential area, Juan Pablo II Educational Unit, Peloteros Synthetic Field
What You Should Do
- Fill your tinaco (rooftop tank) now if you have a manual valve
- Fill pots, bottles, and buckets for drinking, cooking, and flushing
- Buy bottled water if you don't have storage — SuperMaxi, Gran Akí, and corner tiendas all carry 6-liter jugs
- Don't run your washing machine or dishwasher until service is confirmed restored
- Check ETAPA's social media for restoration updates: they usually post to their Facebook page first
