University Of Cuenca Opens Its 2026 Admissions Exam Window

Families with students aiming at the University of Cuenca have a short admissions window to watch in July.
Registration runs from July 6 to 12 and is organized by the last digit of the applicant’s cedula. Applicants must use the university admissions site at https://www.ucuenca.edu.ec/admisiones/.
Key Dates
After registration, applicants should receive an email between July 14 and 17 with the date, time, campus, and laboratory where they must take the exam.
The exam will be held in person on July 29 and 30 at university campuses. It lasts 70 minutes.
For applicants with disabilities, the test will be given on August 5 with 35 additional minutes.
What The Exam Looks Like
The official question bank will be released 48 hours before the evaluation.
The exam has five fields, with 12 questions in each field, for a total of 60 questions. The 56 careers are grouped into the five priority fields, so the weighting depends on the selected career.
The University of Cuenca also clarified that students cannot apply using a score obtained in the 2025 exam. The 2026 test is graded over 1,000 points.
Practical Note
If someone in your household is applying, the email after registration matters. That message is where the specific campus and laboratory assignment will appear.
